Such an incredible story and unexpected journey. I love when unplanned travel experiences end up being the most memorable. I also value your dedication to chasing down traditions, the stories and people who maintain them.

I’ve been absolutely itching to travel the Vietnam, this makes me want to go even more.

Hahaha, this kind of thing happens to me all the time in Mexico. While I always appreciate a random experience, it can be really frustrating when someone just takes you where they think you want to go as an outsider. I definitely need to be more zen about it like it seems you were.

As a writer, there is always this voice telling me that whenever things go wrong, at least I will have some good material to work with. Kind of helps!

Or I guess better said, was where they want to take you ….

What is remarkable about what you are doing is tapping into the true raw wisdom at exists in everyday home kitchen. The knowledge you are accumulating and the hardship that you endure to acquire it is truly remarkable. Love to collaborate at sometime with you - you are opening the gates to everyone and saving dishes as well! Awesome! Inspiring!

What a great story. How an unexpected journey turned out even better, in my opinion. Sometimes going off the beaten path brings unexpected pleasant surprises and even more. Love it.

Great story! Reminds me of that John Lennon lyric, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."
